Mr. Benjamin Miller, 89, died Wednesday night (January 27, 2010) at Baptist Village Retirement Communities following an extended illness.
He was a native of Brooklyn, New York but had made his home in Ware County since 2000. He was the son of the late Barnett Miller and Rose Miller. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Anne Diamond Miller; and a sister Eleanor Tenenholz. He had retired as an administrator with the social services department of the City of New York. He had served in the United States Armed Forces from 1942 until 1946. He was of the Jewish faith
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Griffin (husband Lamar Deal) of Waycross; a son, Edward Miller (wife Kathy)of Valley Stream, NY; three grandchildren, Joshua Terrell (wife Metty) of Jacksonville, FL, Jessica Griffin of Arlington, VA, and Stephanie Miller of Denver, CO; a great grandson, Evan Xavier Terrell of Jacksonville, FL; a sister, Ann Steier of New York.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Sunday (January 31, 2010) at the Beth David Cemetery of Elmont, Long Island, New York.
